The November 2024 CASC Mission Operational Meeting, also referred to as the CASC Futures Forum, will convene USGS CASC staff and consortium counterparts to discuss past, present, and future climate adaptation science, operations, and practices. The meeting will help inform and guide future National and Regional Climate Adaptation Science Center work. Participants will also work to identify opportunities for new research, collaborations, and operational efficiencies.

Engage in interactive activities and discussions to prioritize emerging areas of research and practice for climate adaptation knowledge generation that continues to build upon the existing work of the CASC Network and informs the Federal Advisory Committee, senior leaders, and researchers.
As practitioners implement strategies that are designed to build resilience and support adaptation of plants, animals, water, lands and people to climate change, there has been little research on whether those actions are achieving desired outcomes. What role should the CASCs play in building out this nascent field of science, and how might we get started?
